This Privacy Policy describes how [Company Name] (“ForEverUs In Love”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information of people who register for and use our mobile app, website, and related services (the “Service”). Identity verification is required to use the Service; this Policy explains what verification data we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and your choices and rights. By creating an account, completing required verification, or using the Service you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy and our Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1.    Summary - the essentials

  •  You have rights over your data (access, correction, deletion, objection, portability) — see Section 8.
  •  Deleting verification data will restrict or deactivate your account because verification is required.
  • For full details read this Policy. Contact us at [support@company.com] or [address] with questions.

4.     Biometric and sensitive data processing

  •  Biometric processing: The live selfie and automated face-matching we perform to verify identity may be considered biometric data in certain jurisdictions. We only use facial image data for liveness and face-match verification and for fraud prevention and safety.
  • Consent and legal basis: Where required by law (e.g., biometric statutes), we will obtain your explicit consent before collecting or processing biometric data. In jurisdictions where consent is not required, we rely on contract performance and legitimate interests to process verification data necessary to operate the Service.
  • Storage and retention: We minimize retention of raw biometric images wherever possible. Typical practice:
  • Raw selfies and ID images: retained only as long as needed for verification, appeal, or legal obligations (for many users this will be [30–90] days; see Section 7 for retention details).
  •  Derived templates: we may create and retain one-way biometric templates for the purpose of re-checks and fraud detection for a limited period (e.g., up to [12] months), encrypted and access-limited. Exact retention periods vary by jurisdiction and legal requirements; see Section 7.
  •  Alternatives: If you are unable to submit biometric data (e.g., disability, non-standard ID), contact Support for alternative verification methods such as live agent review or other approved alternatives

5.     Sharing and disclosure of information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share personal information as follows:

a)      Service providers and partners

-         Verification vendors, fraud detection providers, hosting and infrastructure providers, analytics, payment processors, customer support, and other vendors under contract who process data on our behalf.

-         Vendors are authorized to use data only as necessary to provide services and must meet security requirements.

b)      With other members

-         Your profile information (display name, photos, bio, verified badge) and messages are shared with other members as part of normal Service operation. We do not share your full ID or raw verification documents with other members.

c)      Safety, legal, and enforcement disclosures

-         To comply with laws, legal processes, or governmental requests; to protect rights, safety, life, or property of users or the public; to detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues.

-         We may share information with law enforcement, courts, or regulators when required.

d)      Corporate transactions

-         In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred to a successor. We will notify you where required by law.

e)       Aggregated or deidentified information

-         We may use and share aggregated or deidentified data that does not reasonably identify you for research, analytics, or marketing.

f)       With your consent

-         We may share information in other ways with your explicit consent.

6.    International data transfers

  • Our Service operates globally. Your personal information may be stored, processed, and transferred to countries other than your home country, including the United States and other jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws.
  • Safeguards: For transfers from the EEA/UK/Switzerland we use legal transfer mechanisms such as adequacy findings, Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), or other appropriate safeguards. For transfers to the U.S. we may rely on adequacy, SCCs, or other mechanisms as applicable.
  • Contact us for details of the transfer safeguards in place.

7.     Data retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described, subject to legal obligations and legitimate interests.

Typical retention practices (examples; actual retention periods may vary by jurisdiction):

  • Account/profile data: retained while account is active and for a reasonable period after account deletion to prevent fraud or abuse (e.g., 1–3 years for safety/fraud prevention).
  • Verification images (raw selfies and ID): typically retained only as long as necessary to complete verification and for appeals or legal processes (commonly 30–90 days). Where legal obligations require longer retention, we will retain for that period.
  • Biometric templates or derived hashes used for re-checks and fraud detection: retained for a limited period (commonly up to 12 months) unless otherwise required.
  • Messages and chats: retained while your account is active and for a limited period after account deletion to support investigations (retention times vary by jurisdiction).
  • Support and logs: retained as required for legal, tax, or business purposes (commonly up to several years).

Because verification is required, requesting deletion of verification data will limit or suspend access to the Service until you re-verify.

h)      Verification requests and fraud prevention

-         For requests that may impact security (e.g., access to logs or verification data), we may require additional identity verification to protect your account and other users.

  • We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, access controls, logging, vendor assessments, and regular security testing.
